The master's programme in Business Administration comprises 120 ECTS and is completed with a Master of Science degree in at least 4 semesters or 2 years. In addition to the introductory phase, students select majors (40 ECTS) and minors (20 ECTS) - large or small specialisations - in the consolidation phase. Furthermore, electives of 8 ECTS, a Master's thesis conversatory and a written Master's thesis will be completed. As a last achievement a final examination takes place.
Contents and Structure
The master's programme in International Business Administration comprises 120 ECTS and is completed with a Master of Science degree within 4 semesters or 2 years. In addition to the introductory phase, students complete the business administration specialisation, which consists of the International Management module (20 ECTS) and a second business administration specialisation of 20 ECTS. Furthermore, students specialize in one cultural area. Within the chosen cultural area, legal, historical, sociological and cultural competences as well as business communication skills are aquired.
Personal Requirements
The master’s programme in International Business Administration addresses students who have already graduated from a bachelor’s or diploma programme in the field of business and economics. It also addresses graduates of other bachelor’s programmes who have already acquired basic knowledge in business administration and who strive for a job that requires competences in the fields of business and economics, cultural studies and linguistics.
Occupational Fields
In principle, graduates of International Business Administration and Business Administration have the same professional opportunities and are qualified to pursue a leadership or management position in business. If, however, you wish to work in an international group, the Master's degree in International Business Administration is preferable. By specializing in certain cultural areas, all the skills necessary to work internationally and for global companies are imparted in this program.
