Occupational Fields

The occupational fields consist of compulsory subjects and moreover may also include electives. Regarding the electives, the Director of the Study Programme publishes a list of courses which can be completed for the respective modules, which are generally considered approved for the modules. If other courses are chosen, they must be approved in advance by the Director of the Study Programme.

The corresponding courses of the respective semester are listed in the course directory.

Students of the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration may specialize in the following Occupational Fields:

Occupational Field: Banking and Finance (24 ECTS)

  • UK Decision Theory (4 ECTS)
  • 2 of the following 4 courses (8 ECTS):
    • UK Special Topics in Banking and Finance: Corporate Finance (4 ECTS)
    • UK Special Topics in Banking and Finance: Financial Markets (4 ECTS)
    • UK Special Topics in Banking and Finance: International Finance (4 ECTS)
    • UK Special Topics in Banking and Finance: Risk and Insurance (4 ECTS)
  • Econometrics (8 ECTS) - two options:
    • VO Linear Models (6 ECTS) + UE Linear Models (2 ECTS)
    • UK Introductory Econometrics (8 ECTS)

    • Special Topics in Banking and Finance, which were not chosen in the scope of the compulsory courses

Instead of taking the UK Decision Theory and the UK Game Theory, it is also possible to absolve UK Decision and Game Theory (12 ECTS), which is being offered within the scope of the undergraduate degree Economics.
